Study on the Response of Different Soybean Varieties to Water Management in Northwest China Based on a Model Approach

Soybean is one of the major crops that widely cultivated in Northwest China due to its high nutritional and economic value. However, drought has recently become an important factor restricting growth soybeans arid region selection drought-resistant soybean importance for cooperating with improving yield. In this study, three-year field experiments were conducted test effects different water treatments on soil moisture status yield two varieties (Longhuang1 (LH1), Longahuang3 (LH3)). Based data, content, biomass, LAI, calibrated evaluated using soil-crop system model WHCNS (soil Water Heat Carbon Nitrogen Simulator). The results showed nRMSE, NSE, IA, R2 content from types soybean, i.e., LH1 (LH3) 10.98% (9.79%), 0.86 (0.90), 0.96 (0.97), 0.87 respectively. IA 19.12% (4.41%), (0.99), 0.97 (1.00), 0.98 Scenario simulations other indicators under irrigation schedules hydrological years maximum II LH3 are lower than those LH1, but higher comes a larger amount. Appropriately reducing number irrigations branching period will not reduce crop may oppositely lead small increase income; at end grouting no significant impact income.
